This module is designed to act as a DIY source to be used in conjunction with DIY power amplifiers. The minimized faceplate allows for installation in powered speakers, project boxes, automotive and marine applications... the only limit is your imagination.
This module requires +5 volts DC which is readily found on computers, devices, and power supplies with USB ports. It is recommended that you solder the wire leads from the power connector to a USB-B female connector (please see the Related Products section). This allows for the use of a USB-A to USB-B cable for proper connection to an active USB port for power.
A two-wire cable connector is supplied for power. Carefully connect the two-wire cable connector to the two-pin board connector aligning the placement tab with the socket notch. Identify the proper board connector by locating the +5V and GND labels on the underside of the module's circuit board. A drop or two of superglue is recommended to permanently hold the connector is place.
Drag-and-drop MP3 files (only the MP3 audio codec at 32-320 kbps is supported) from your computer onto your storage device (USB or SD Card) for playback. It is recommended that you create folders in the root directory of your storage device for different albums or artists to place your songs within. This facilitates quick access via the folder up/down controls on the module or the remote control. Cutout requirement: 2-1/2" W x 1-1/4" H.
